RABBI YONASAN KESSLER

Administrator

Born in L.A. California, Rabbi Kessler graduated from U.C.L.A. with a degree in applied mathematics, and specialization in Computer Science. After making Aliya to Israel, Rabbi Kessler studied in the esteemed Chafetz Chaim Yeshiva of Jerusalem getting his Semicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Rabbi Kessler joined the Kesher Institute in its second year to take over the administration.

RABBI DONI SILVERSTEIN

Dean of Students

Rabbi Doni Silverstein, originally from Chicago, learned in the Detroit Yeshiva followed by several years in both the Ponovez and Mir Yeshivos in Israel. Doni has since been teaching and mentoring teenage boys and was involved in the program development of the Zone (kids at risk drop in center) in downtown Yerushalayim. Doni is both the av bayit and dean of students and whether it's a technical issue or something of a deeper nature Doni is available 24/7 for the boys.

RABBI CHEZKY DICKMAN

Program Coordinator

A part of Kesher almost from its inception, Chezky meets with each and every student working out with them a schedule catered to their specific needs. Totally dedicated, Chezky makes each student feel as if Kesher was created for him.

 

RABBI GEDALIA AUERBACH

Originally from South Africa Gedalia joins Kesher in the afternoons for one on one sessions with the boys. His insights and ideas have changed many lives.

 

 

RABBI MOTTI BRAUN

A graduate of the renowned Telshe Yeshiva Rabbi Braun or "motty" as the boys call him, captures the heart of all who meet him. Trained in the Ohr Hagolah program Rabbi Braun has been working with teenagers for the past six years.

 

RABBI YEHUDA FEINGOLD

For the past five years Rabbi Feingold has been giving Kesher students at all different levels of learning abilities the structure and tools necessary to succeed in their studies.

 

 

RABBI AVRAHAM YESHAYA GERMAN

Born in Brooklyn NY and a graduate of the renowned Lakewood Yeshiva. R' German divides his time between extending his already vast Torah knowledge in Yeshivas Brisk and sharing his love of learning with the students.

 

RABBI YOSI GOLBERSTEIN

Originally from Minneapolis, Yossi has been heavily involved in outreach programs in Russia as well as work with disenfranchised Orthodox youth in North America. Yossi recently became the head counselor of the highly successful Project Extreme Summer Program. As a Mentor at Kesher, Yossi works with the students helping them gain stability and life skills.

RABBI MORDECHAI KORNFELD

Rabbi Kornfeld is a graduate of torah Vadaas. He studied Jewish Education at the Bar Ilan University and received an M.H.L. Rabbi Kornfeld has spent the last 25 years teaching and guiding teenagers in the various American yeshivas in Israel.

RABBI BORUCH DOVID SIMON

Originally from Toronto Canada and a talmid of the renowned Telshe Yeshiva, Rabbi Simon has been educating students for over a decade. Director of very popular summer camps in Israel, Rabbi Simon's warmth and deep caring towards his students has created strong and long-lasting bonds with all he comes in contact with.

RABBI YAIR SPOLTER

Rabbi Spolter is originally from Silver Spring, MD, where he attended the Yeshiva High School of Greater Washington. After high school he spent a year and a half in Yeshivat Shaalvim and subseqeuntly 6 years in Yeshivas Heichal HaTorah Betzion in Yerushalayim, under the tutelage of Hagaon Rav Zvi Kushalevsky. Rabbi Spolter is a trained cognitive behavioral therapist as well as a certified chosson teacher. Additionally, he has published articles and divrei Torah in Yated Ne'eman, Hamodia, and The Jewish Observer on various topics of Torah hashkafa. Rabbi Spolter's genuine love and concern for his talmidim is the secret to his success as a rebbe in Kesher. Rabbi Spolter and his family reside in Kiryat Sefer.

RABBI EFRAIM STAUBER

Rabbi Efraim Stauber studied many years in Lakewood and continued after his marriage in Brisk Yerushalayim. Combining genuine warmth with an infectious passion for Talmudic lomdus he shares with those around him his joy of discovery and the exhilaration inherent to Torah learning.

 

RABBI YEHOSHUA STRAJCHER

Originating from Providence Rhode Island, Rabbi Strajcher, after graduating from the Beis Yisroel Yeshiva in Yerushalayim, moved on to learn in The Mir Yeshiva. Rabbi Strajcher has been helping and guiding teenagers for many years including the running of Project Ice, a summer program in Israel, and speaking to various groups of Yeshiva students throughout Yerushalayim. Rabbi Strajcher presently divides his time between Teaching in Kesher and learning and teaching in the Mir Yeshiva.
